    World Mental Health Day

    Today in Year 1 we used bubbles to pop negative thoughts and instead filled our minds with positive thoughts.  We talked about who we would share our negative thoughts with, people that we trust. For example some children admitted they were afraid of the dark and so offers of positive thoughts came flooding in. One of the ideas was to close your eyes and think about playing on a beach.  The activity made the children realise that positive thoughts change their mood. We completed the lesson by putting all our negative thoughts into a balloon and bursting it, followed by playing  Pharrell Williams-Happy.
